影歌雙棲的狄恩馬丁，原來是個有著義大利血統的拳擊手，一直到27歲那年，被打歪了鼻梁，才決心轉往演藝界發展。他和另一位喜劇演員傑瑞路易斯合組了「馬丁與傑瑞」，兩人主演了16部搞笑電影，紅遍全美。
48年起，狄恩馬丁獲得了唱片合約，推出了〈I’ll always love you〉、〈That’s amore〉等暢銷曲，但真的讓他大大走紅的，則是56年〈Memories are made of this〉，這首歌當時拿下6週冠軍，並被翻譯成多種語文的版本，風靡全球一時！但在此時「馬丁與傑瑞」也順勢拆夥，狄恩馬丁的電影事業馬上遭遇瓶頸。但在同為「銀色鼠隊」死黨的法蘭克辛那區建議下，他開始慎選劇本，靠著演出「赤膽屠龍」一片，又重回演藝高峰！ |
